About Tillio
We built the platform we wished we had.
Tillio is contribution-aware economic infrastructure for the way teams actually build today — distributed, mixed-skill, paid in equity as often as in dollars.
The problem
The cap table can't keep up.
Modern projects don't have employees and salaries. They have an engineer in São Paulo, a designer in Berlin, an advisor who closed your last fundraise, and a founder who wrote the spec at 2 a.m. on a Tuesday.
The economic instruments for this shape of work haven't caught up. Equity grants are designed for full-time hires. Spreadsheet cap tables drift the moment somebody contributes. Lawyer-drawn amendments cost more than the contribution they document.
The result: ownership conversations get postponed, dragged out, or quietly avoided. By the time they happen, trust has already started to erode.
What we believe
Four principles, no shortcuts.
Concrete over clever.
"Devon's at 18.4%" beats "Devon has a meaningful stake." Every entry is a verifiable fact.
Show the work, not the metaphor.
Code, decks, checks, intros. The ledger reads like the work happened — because it did.
Equity is a conversation, not a contract.
The split changes as contributions change. Everyone sees the same numbers, in the same place, at the same time.
Defaults that respect adults.
No infantilizing copy. No fake urgency. No nudges. Just the data, the agreement, and the action.
